Garages and Storage

Garage storage solutions are as close as the local big box home improvement store. Car tools and tools for do-it-yourself jobs around the house need places where they can be stored safely and easily found.First, get rid of anything that is no longer useful, no longer works or is otherwise not needed. Get pencil and paper and draw a scale plan of the space. On the floor plan, mark off where the cars are parked. Next mark off space where other large items like the lawnmower are stored.Heavy duty shelving units are great for the garage. This gets things up off the floor and provides more storage area. Units are available in a number of sizes and heights. Decide what size and how many units are needed and mark them on the floor plan. If there is a workbench, there's room underneath to store bulky items.Stand-alone drawer units can go under the workbench. The drawers can hold car tools in organizer trays. A garage jack and a shop creeper may fit under the workbench or on a lower shelf of a shelving unit. If there isn't a workbench, there are complete units that can be purchased that include cabinets and drawers underneath. Oil, antifreeze and cleaning products can be kept in the cabinet away from little hands. Pegboard above a workbench is a handy addition. There are a large variety of hooks, holders and bins that are made to use with pegboard. Many car tools can be hung from hooks on the pegboard above the workbench. Large items can be hung from a 4'x8' pegboard wall using specialized hooks.An easy way to store long handled tools is in a large plastic trash can. Remove the lid and put bricks, sand or rocks in the bottom for weight. Put the tools in the trashcan handle end down and the correct tool is easy to find. Home improvement stores have empty metal paint buckets that are perfect for storing large wrenches and socket drivers on the workbench. Plan to get a couple of extras and some hooks for the pegboard. Hang two buckets on the pegboard. Put cleaning rags in one. Work gloves can go in the other. Keep heavy duty trash bags in the garage for clean-up after car maintenance. Now that the floor plan is complete and the unneeded items gone, make a materials list and head for the store. A day or two of work and that garage will be organized!

Mounted Basketball Hoops

With a mounted basketball hoop, a homeowner can hang one from a garage, roof, or the side of the house. It's ideal for those who don't have enough space for an in-ground model, or simply prefer a less permanent solution. While the in-ground and portable hoops take up at least some space, wall-mounted ones take up none at all.The two options consumers have available to them are a backboard and rim combo or a system. With the combo, you receive just the backboard and rim. The system on the other hand includes a bracket that will hang the hoop. If you decide to purchase the bracket separately, then be sure to get one that is sold by the same manufacturer so you know that it will work properly.Of course, you could also buy a combo because you already have a pole that you can use for your hoop. In that case, you simply attach the backboard and the rim to the pole and you're ready to go.Mounted basketball hoops are wide ranging in terms of price. The side-mounted hoops that you might see in a gymnasium cost thousands. If you want the best mounted system for residential, then expect to pay over $1000 for it.With the most expensive hoop, you typically will get a tempered glass backboard, a heavy-duty breakaway rim, and an adjustable mounting bracket. Glass is the most expensive and best performing backboard that you can purchase. The bracket allows you to raise or lower the hoop, and this typically ranges from 6-10 feet. The overhang is usually around 3 feet, which allows for play under the basket.If you want the backboard to extend out from the wall, then the adjustable bracket is necessary. This what serious players want. For recreational play, a stationary bracket will suffice.The advantage you have with just buying the combo is being able to select the bracket. If you buy the system, then you have to take whatever bracket comes with it. The most simple, inexpensive brackets don't provide any adjustability or little to no overhang. Essentially, the more money you spend, the better the performance.The largest sized backboard I have seen for combos is 54", so you'll have to buy a system if you want something bigger. I don't believe that the systems however get any bigger than 60". To put into perspective, regulation sized backboards are 72" wide.

They are classified mainly into three categories namely, heavy, medium and light. They may be 8 or 6 wheeled with 2, 4 or 6 toners. A very large number of these trucks are maintained by the US army and are auctioned every year. Among other popular auctioned military vehicles are trailors, ambulances, buses and more such vehicles which are used to transport troops and equipments.
